Come adorned in your finest derby attire & join Jamie’s Hope at this extravagant Kentucky Derby viewing party to help raise funds for MD Anderson Cancer Center!

 

This year’s event will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 on Saturday, May 4, 2012 at the Marque in City Centre.

 

TICKETS include complimentary passed hors d’oeuvres & fabulous signature cocktails along with a spectacular event full of fun festivities!

Guests of the Derby for a Cause event will enjoy watching the “Running of the Roses” on over a dozen state-of-the-art HD plasma TV’s while being entertained by the ever popular Jazz & Blues band, Terry & Blue Birds! And of course the evening wouldn’t be complete without wonderful door prizes, the unique Silent Auction items and contests including the ever popular Best Hat Contest for the ladies and Best Dressed for the men!

Stay ’til the end for the newly added Fashion Show Finale!! Hosted by Style Current, the show will feature fashions from Festari for Men and Cakewalk Style Boutique. Accessories provided by Lilah Gabriel & Models provided by Time Talent Agency.

Just like last year, we will have Electronic Bidding on all auction items.  All Bidding will be done through your own cell phone or computer!  You can bid from anywhere, anytime before the close of the auction right from your own device!  You even get an update if you are outbid!

HOW THE AUCTION WORKS | Guests may preview the auction items through our ONLINE AUCTION as soon as they’re secured! Silent Auction items may be bid on and won by anyone with access to the ONLINE AUCTION link. LIVE AUCTION items may be bid on up until 3pm on the day of the gala, however, one must be present during the live auction to win a live auction item. Take time to preview and preregister online to eliminate check-in time upon arrival at the gala.

I.W. Marks Donated Pendant / Masquerade for a Cure LIVE AUCTION item

Just finished chemo and now time for an update!!! On my way to chemo at MD Anderson today I stopped and met with Brad of I.W. Marks to pick up this beautiful necklace (see pictures). This is the necklace they donated for the LIVE AUCTION at Masquerade for a Cure (October 25, 2013) and I get to wear it the night of the event!!!!!! Unfortunately, I have to give it up after the auction I am unbelievably thankful to have met such wonderful people that share the common goal in life of finding a cure. Without support from people and businesses like this there would be no hope for people like me that are still hoping and praying for the cure.
